The contestant’s age eligibility requirements are based on a calendar year, not a pageant cycle, and remain unchanged. In order to meet age eligibility requirements to compete in the State Pageant, a contestant must be at least 13 years of age on the first day of the State Pageant in which she competes; and must not be older than 18 years of age on December 31 in the year of the State Pageant.

Medical and legal female, never married, not a parent
Bonafide Mississippi resident or full-time employee or student
Citizen of the United States of America
Able to compete in all areas of competition
